Bo´ness & Kinneil Railway (Scottish Railway Preservation Society)

At Bo´ness & Kinneil Railway (Scottish Railway Preservation Society), savour the nostalgia of the railway age - the living museum of Scotland´s Railways. Trains hauled by steam locomotives and heritage diesels take passengers from Bo´ness Station by the Firth of Forth to the woodlands of Birkhill and guided tours of Birkhill Fireclay Mine. The Bo´ness & Kinneil Railway is operated by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society (SRPS) which has wide experience preserving Scotland´s railway heritage; members carry out restoration work on the Society´s large collection of railway locomotives, carriages, wagons and artefacts, much of which is on display in the Scottish Railway Exhibition at Bo´ness Station. SRPS members also operate SRPS Railtours day rail excursions along the scenic Scottish highland railway lines and to historic towns and cities south of the border.
