West Somerset Railway

The West Somerset Railway recaptures the era of the branch line country railway in the days of steam. Enjoy 20 miles of glorious Somerset scenery as the train gently rolls back the years on its journey through the Quantock Hills and along the Exmoor Coast. Just sit back in your seat and watch the steam and the countryside drift past the window. The West Somerset Railway seeks to recreate the atmosphere of a Great Western Railway branch line. There are ten restored stations along the route, each having its own individual charm and character; many have signal-boxes, engine sheds, museums, displays, steam engines and other rolling stock to see. Possible places to explore include the ancient harbour town of Watchet, Washford with Cleeve Abbey and Torre Cider Farm and medieval Dunster with its famous Castle.

Opening Times:	Feb to Dec (selected dates) 10:00-17:30.
Admission:	Day Rover Ticket: Adult £17.00, Senior £15.40, Child (5-15) £8.50, Child (under 5) Free, OAP £14.20, Family (2+4) £43.00. Single & return tickets also available.
Child Friendly:	Children of all ages welcome
Dog Friendly:	Dogs Permitted (£2.00 per dog for Dog 'Rover' ticket.)
Location:	Four miles from Taunton (junction 25 on M5). Nearest main line railway station - Taunton.
