Sherlock Holmes Museum

The Sherlock Holmes Museum has already had over 2 million visitors since opening 12 years ago. It is unique. It is in a Georgian building dating from 1815. It is totally unspoiled (by which is meant un-modernised!) and is identical to the lodging house described in the stories. The rooms in Mr Holmes´s apartment on the first floor are maintained just as he would have left them nearly 100 years ago! The Museum has entertainment, cultural and educational value. Sherlock Holmes is very much a part of England´s literary heritage and visitors flock to Baker Street to see how we are perpetuating this great legend.
