The Temple of Minerva is a replica of a Roman temple first used as the City's exhibit at the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley 1924. It was then rebuilt in the Botanical Gardens and in 2017 it was licensed for civil ceremonies. This unique venue sits within 9 and a half acres of beautiful gardens.
What makes The Temple of Minerva a unique wedding venue?
The Temple of Minerva is a hidden gem in Bath and is a perfect mix for an indoor and outdoor wedding. For smaller weddings the Temple and adjacent lawn will be plenty of space. For larger all day weddings the lower lawn can be used to set up a teepee or marquee for a dinner and dance. Because every couple is unique so are the weddings, bespoke and tailor made. Couples can make use of the list of recommended suppliers or bring their own. There is no corkage charge and well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome to be part of the celebrations.
What is a typical wedding like at The Temple of Minerva?
Brides or partners can choose to take a short walk up to the Temple or take the longer walk through the gardens and over the pond while their partner waits at the Temple and catches their first glimpse of them. After the ceremony, the newlyweds will emerge from the doors of the Temple into the gardens to a shower of real flower petal confetti and lead their guests to the lawn for a drinks reception. The back drop of the Gardens and Moon gates make a perfect photo opportunity.
What Wedding Packages does The Temple of Minerva offer?
Packages are available for smaller weekday intimate ceremonies and also during the winter months. Whichever package is chosen the team at Heritage Park Weddings will ensure that the couple can still have a bespoke wedding of their dreams.
