As soon as we walked in the door of the Devonshire Fell Hotel we knew it was the one ... ... for our boutique wedding – we liked that there were different spaces in the bar, conservatory, bistro, dining room and chairs by an open fire. The location and views are breathtakingly stunning, photos don't do it justice. The staff were fantastic from beginning to end, we felt very spoiled and indulged. Nothing was too much trouble. EVERYONE commented on how fantastic it was and worth the journey – it's an hour from our house and wasn't local for anyone. The food was stunning and portions generous, the team worked their socks off getting it to the tables quickly and piping hot. The onion and white cider soup was incredible and the vegetarian toad in the hole divine. The carnivores were very well serviced too! There were a lot of thoughtful, experienced touches for example how the dining room was laid out for our wedding breakfast and how separate canapes and drinks were reserved for the bride and groom to make sure we didn't miss out. The staff deserve special mention as they were ¬all so professional, warm, considerate, thoughtful and genuinely interested – they worked so hard for our day. Hannah as the wedding coordinator was patient, efficient, reliable, good natured, fun and supportive. Deputy Manager Helen worked her socks off on our wedding day, she worked so hard and with good grace answering all queries and quietly running around. Paul tended bar with efficient humour – the best hot chocolate ever must not be missed! Anna really looked after us and also worked hard with dinner and bar service. The lovely chap who served breakfast (sorry we didn't get your name) and Manager Jen did everything she could to help us make decisions. Truly, the best day of our lives and a lot of that was because of the Devonshire Fell and its lovely team. Mr and Mrs Johnstone x

Thank you so much for our beautiful wedding day Saturday!! I can't even tell you how much we love the fell and the people in it! Our first time at the fell was almost 2 years ago and we have visited at least 5 times since! It is so special to us, that when we got engaged there was no other option but the fell for our venue. First of all can I just say thank goodness you all have a sense of humour! You must have thought we were crackers, but you joined in with our chilled personalities and nothing was too much trouble! Hannah's relaxed and meticulous planning meant that I hadn't to worry about a thing on the morning or throughout the day. She had everywhere where they needed to be at the right time even us! If I could have her plan my everyday life I would! Helen, what an angel! There for me on the morning when our baby girl had me up from 3am, had me drinking coffee and eating and there to keep me calm when I was about to walk down the aisle and again to see her and Hannah's lovely faces to greet us afterwards with champagne was like seeing friends! Paul for the smooth running and keeping the guests in line when they kept asking if their room was ready! Having a good laugh with us, it's all we wanted our day to be like, a good fun giggle and you all joined in for which I'm so grateful. My walking down the aisle song was called Feels Like Home, it has a few meanings to us and the fell definitely feels like a home away from home. It's our special place and from the bottom of our hearts thank you all so very much for being a major part of our day!! We will see you in summer without the children (no 3am starts this time) Lots of Love Chris & Kate Blackburn xxx

OMG where to start! We recently had our wedding at DF and it is one of the best hotels I have been to. Not only because it has one of the most beautiful views I have seen, or because the food is stunning, or the hotel unique and a little quirky in parts but mostly because of the amazing team led by Jen. From start to end Hannah and Helen did a great job helping us plan our wedding and the whole team over the two days were amazing. We wanted something very relaxed and took over the hotel for 2 days. The hotel has 16 lovely bedrooms and lovely rooms for weddings and dinners. It has a fab conservatory you can sit in drinking whatever and drinking in the view. The food was delicious from when me and my bride arrived on Monday to our last big gorgeous breakfast on Saturday. This place is not only perfect for weddings but for any special occasion whether it is hiring it for a big get together for family or friends, or for a romantic time away. The DEVONSHIRE Fell is classy but relaxed and you can use the spa facilities at DA as a resident, it's only a 10/15 mins drive away with pool, jacuzzi, steam etc. Burnsall is amazing and a heaven for walkers of all grades whether you walk a pootle along the river to Grassington or hike up into the fells. Visit the DF and Burnsall and you will fall in love. Oh and you can bring your furry babies as well. Thank you to Jen and your amazing team. We will be back to visit you as soon as possible. You made our year!

Hi Hannah, We really enjoyed our day and thought you all created a lovely relaxed environment. The bar & restaurant manager during dinner and afterwards kept us well informed and checked with me if I was happy with everything and that it was as expected like that our tables were set as I expected. Jennifer was also very accommodating ensuring we were ok and that we had a lovely evening and weren't rushed to bed! Before the wedding you were very flexible and accommodating with what we wanted to do. Helping wherever you could, getting the rooms ready early, setting the tables out to meet our needs, making sure we had everything organised that we needed to, etc. Everyone really had a good time and enjoyed the day and all the food very much. You made sure we left with everything we came with and the leftovers (we were eating cheese for quite a while after!) and you were all very nice saying you had enjoyed looking after us. Tim feels like the day was a bit of a blur as we've had such a busy year and he's already talking about doing it all again. So expect a call at some point for maybe another wedding party just without the actual marriage this time. Many thanks to you all. Best wishes and we hope to come and stay with you again soon. There are not enough words to describe how amazing The Devonshire Fell made our wedding feel. From beginning to end the entire team were fantastic. The whole team were friendly, attentive and worked with ease around the crowds. Special mentions have to go to; Hannah (events manager) for co-ordinating the entire day with a relaxed approach, a trait that was very welcomed, Helen (deputy manager) for being absolutely fantastic throughout our entire stay, especially in the morning when my bridal party were getting ready- she was always up for a giggle, and then Anita for making the most amazing hot toddies to help me rid my cold. I also have to say an enormous thank you to the chef!! Gary and I took the decision to offer our guests the choice to pre-select their menu and it was worth every penny! The quality of the food was absolutely amazing and I know everyone loved the food. To any future couple I cannot recommend The Devonshire Fell enough, partied up with Vanessa Wellock (florist) Kathryn Widdowson (photographer) and Rachel Neilson (make up) you really are in for a very special day where I can guarantee you'll feel like a king and queen. Hannah, Helen and team a huge thank you! See you 18th Nov 2018 for our first anniversary.

Dear Hannah, We are writing to thank you and your team for the marvellous service you provided last weekend for the wedding of our daughter Zoe to Karl Pearman. Your organisation over many months was first class and the guests were very impressed by the hotel, food and tremendous hard work by all the staff. We have always loved the Fell and the Devonshire Arms and look forward to returning early next year. The whole weekend was one of the most enjoyable we have ever had and provided Zoe and Karl with a wonderful lasting memory for the rest of their lives. Many thanks and best regards Tony and Roma Boundry

Dear Hannah and all other staff, We wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the time and effort you and all the staff at the Devonshire put into our wedding to make it such a remarkable day. We loved every moment and couldn't stop smiling. Everyone was so helpful and charming and really made, not just us, but all of guests feel so very special. The venue was perfect, the staff amazing, the food delicious (I can not tell you how many people have told us so), and the rooms just perfect. WE had the best day and that is thanks to all the hard work you all put into it. Thank you, Sally and Simon Hinkins

Hi Hannah, Thank you very much for assisting with our wedding. It was a fabulous day. It was especially nice once I woke on Saturday morning, I didn't have to worry too much with decorations and setting up and concentrating on getting myself ready. It ran very smoothly and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The day did go really fast! Kind regards Jenny & Andy
