Licenced to hold wedding ceremonies, Summer Lodge has four beautiful spaces for you to choose from.
The magnificently-appointed Drawing Room, designed by Thomas Hardy, opens out onto the gardens and is the perfect setting for a summer ceremony for up to 40 seated guests or up to 70 standing.
The intimate Dorchester Suite is an elegant space that allows up to 22 guests to be part of your special moment. The wonderful garden conservatory can accommodate up to 20 seated guests or up to 30 standing guests.
The gardens are ideal for a romantic outdoor celebration and can accommodate up to 76 guests for a ceremony in the grounds in the pergola.

After 5.00pm, depart Summer Lodge to continue your celebration at the historic 16th century Acorn Inn, where you can party the night away. The Acorn will provide you with a delicious selection of evening food, so you and your guests can continue your wedding extravaganza.

If planning to hold your ceremony at Summer Lodge, please contact the Superintendent Registrar at Dorset County Council to confirm they are able to conduct the ceremony on your chosen date. For parties of up to 200 guests, it is necessary to the hotel exclusively for a minimum of three days.
