Bespoke personal and unhurried, and built as a wedding present in 1903 for the Hennessy family, this Queen Anne style private home offers unrivalled accommodation and views, as well as impeccable levels of service. From only one couple up to 300 guests, the facilities will support the most flamboyant of celebrations.

Bespoke and personal - there are no salaried staff being paid to process you through the venue, and no commissioned sales team. Share your dream with the owners and then meet to discuss the finer details over a glass or two of wine.

What is a typical wedding like at Saltcote Place Rye?

Arrive on Wednesday or Thursday, to join your family and friends to start the celebrations. Optionally, you may decorate your marquee to ensure it has your personal style. You welcome your guests to your venue and having partied to the small hours, you are the last to leave, as you thank your departing guests. The owners will make every effort to ensure your celebration is exactly as you desire.

What Wedding Packages does Saltcote Place Rye offer?

Small intimate weddings for up to 48 can be held indoors, including a wedding breakfast. This could cost as little as £8,500, including two nights accommodation for 12 Guests. This is reduced by £3,000 if you choose a day other than Friday or Saturday. 120 guests in a bespoke marquee, including all food and drink and two nights accommodation for 12 guests, would typically cost around £150 a head, depending on your choice of food and drink.

From M25 J5 take A21 south to Flimwell turn left and go 16 miles to the doomsday village of Playden a few hundred yards before Rye. Pass Rye Memorial Hospital on your right, New England lane on your left and then Saltcote Lane is opposite the Kings Head pub. Turn into Saltcote Lane and proceed to the left and then the far end where you will see large iron gates. Please do not arrive without an appointment as we never see anyone without an appointment. For security reasons CCTV covers the entire grounds with Automatic Number Place recognition.
