Situated just outside Banchory only twenty minutes from Aberdeen, Raemoir is a beautiful Georgian house that provides the perfect backdrop for a fairytale wedding. The first impression is one of indulgent grandeur, but step over the threshold and it feels just like home, which is how owners Neil and Julie Rae encourage you to think when planning your day here.
What makes Raemoir House a unique wedding venue?
The award winning venue is your personal country home from home, your very own Downton Abbey if you like, fully staffed 24 hours, for as long as you are here. Along with its 18 ensuite bedrooms, each individually and indulgently furnished, there are several ground floor room options, most of which interconnect, that provide a large amount of flexibility to suit any occasion whether for a private family gathering, a wedding, a group conference or a secluded boardroom getaway.
What is a typical wedding like at Raemoir House?
By the time girls reach marrying age most are able to describe, in painstaking detail, exactly what their wedding will look like. Some paint a picture of champagne receptions and crystal flutes, while others describe free-flowing beer fountains and chilled pint glasses. But there is one aspect of the special day for which many brides have a shared vision – the venue. Thanks to childhoods filled with Disney movies and royal weddings, many dream of a grand old Scottish Country House snuggled amidst acres of private grounds, woodland and unspoilt countryside. A place with a chandeliered ballroom, delectable food and a sweeping staircase that seems almost purpose built for a bride making her grand entrance. A place like Raemoir.
What Wedding Packages does Raemoir House offer?
Every event is different so we price each enquiry independently, whether it is a small event for 10 people or a large Marquee party for 360, Raemoir is set up to cater for them all.
What Extra facilities does Raemoir House have to assist couples to have the perfect day?
We have no public access which ensures private and exclusive use for every event. There is no need for any third party catering or service staff, we include them all, all you need to bring are yourselves and third party providers such as florists, photographers, etc.
