Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa

From our initial meeting, it was clear Georgia was enthusiastic, detail orientated, and genuinely excited about our day. We went through our ideas and expectations of the day itself, all the while Georgia furiously scribbling my disjointed thought process. I stayed the night before the wedding and got a phone call to the room from Georgia before she left for the day, just to check in and see that I was ok which was very lovely and unexpected. On the day, Georgia was running around ensuring everything was taken care of, I didn't even have to check I just knew she had it under control and that it would be exactly as I'd described to her in our previous meetings. Adam and Peter made up the team taking care of us for the day, from counting me in to my entrance, announcing us into the room as husband and wife, appearing out of absolutely nowhere to top up drinks, they too were instrumental in making our imagined day come to life. Every single one of our guests commented on how impeccable the service was, and how ‘well looked after' they were. All agreed that the food was incredible. Not at any point did we feel as though a request was too much, and for that we are incredibly grateful to Chewton Glen and the entire staff team on hand. I would not hesitate to recommend Chewton Glen as your wedding venue. The rooms and grounds are stunning, and whatever you picture your big (or small) day to be, Chewton Glen will only enhance that experience for you. The Chewton Glen will always hold a special place in our hearts and the hearts of our family members.

I can't believe that a week has passed already. Phil and I are just home this afternoon. We have had a quiet few days relaxing and taking it all in. We must have said ‘thank you' a million times last weekend and we meant every one of them. I had a vision of what I'd like the wedding to be and you along with everyone else made it possible. We've looked back on the notes in our book and what people have said and all we heard was it was the best wedding they had been too, the hotel is amazing, the food was delicious and the flowers were just too much for people. I have told Katrina that they were sent to hospices to give those who do need some joy - much more worthy than Phil and I. And finally, Phil and I just cannot begin to put into words what it is you did for us on our special day. We fell in love with CG that November. You were there on the first day and guided us through. You made we cry as I was leaving. You have been very patient with me and I'm sorry I was a bit slow on certain points! It has been our absolute delight to meet you and plan our special day with you. You are the perfect person for that job. We were blessed that day we walked in to the CG and met you. The staff can't be complimented enough but for us you were and will always remain head and shoulders above that formidable team. We will of course send through pictures for you. I know that I have sent Georgia a number of emails thanking you all and expressing our delight with our wedding weekend but we wanted to write more formally so that you have it in manuscript what ROCK STARS you all are and we don't have enough words to convey how wonderful you made our wedding weekend. Thank you so much for creating for us what was, hands down, the perfect weekend. You manage to combine class and sophistication with simple charm, out-of-this-world professionalism with warmth and endless personal touches, a place that looks like the poster-house for Home and Garden Magazine with a place that feels like our home. Perfect organisation and flawless service without a sense of itinerary and with smiles and enthusiasm that make it all seem effortless and delivering the best hotel experience any of us had ever had with fun, laughter and an abundance of character and kindness. In short, we loved every second of our time with you. Every bespoke, considered touch and every interaction with every member of staff. And we can't finish this without a special thank you to Georgia - There are no words! From our first email to our last hug (don't worry, we'll be back for more!) you were just amazing. Beautiful inside and out. We are still coming back down to earth. The rest of the world definitely needs to hear this! So, a MASSIVE, HUGE, WARMEST ever thank you to you all. I just wanted to send a thank you email from my husband and I for your team at Chewton Glen. We recently had our wedding in one of the treehouse on the 30th May and it exceeded all expectations. Everyone that we came into contact with, be that the maintenance guy or the front of house team, everyone was so polite and supportive. It was so incredible. I also wanted to say a special thank you to Georgia Blacknell, she was unbelievable. Through all the planning to the actual day until the time we left she was checking that we were all ok and if everything had been done correctly. On the day of the wedding Georgia was so supportive as it was a very intimate wedding and she became part of the day. I think that she is an absolute credit to Chewton Glen, and very highly regarded by your suppliers that I used Abi Chadwick Photography and Arcade Flowers. Everything was absolutely perfect and the thoughtful gifts that were give to us and my children was just such a magical touch. I wouldn't normally send an email like this, but I thought now a days customer service is lacking in quite a few industries and when someone goes out of their way to offer exceptional service, I think that this should be recognised. I hope that you will pass on my thanks to everyone.

Dear management, I wanted to write to you to say how happy we were with our wedding day on 6th April 2019. The whole staff on the day were absolutely brilliant. I want to give a special thank you to Georgia Blacknell who was our first point of contact when we first enquired and then organised the whole process and day for us. Georgia was so friendly and professional throughout every stage and made the wedding planning process so relaxed and stress free for us. She is an absolute credit to the Chewton Glen and we couldn't of hoped for a better experience. Also, Adam who co managed alongside Georgia was brilliant and the whole day and evening ran so smoothly and the service and attention to details was amazing. Every single staff member we saw on the day was so kind and couldn't do more to help us. We had the most amazing memorable day and we don't think we could of picked a better venue for our wedding. We were treated as if we had spent triple what we did, nothing was too much trouble, all of the staff were fabulous. You made our day perfect and us feel so special. We are waiting on our proper thank you cards so I will send you a proper one but we just can't believe how incredible it was. It just feels like a dream. Honestly was the absolute best few days of our lives and we cannot thank you enough as you were a huge part of that Georgia. The Chewton Glen is our absolute most favourite place in the world everybody was fantastic and we felt like royalty for the few days we were there!! Thanks so much for your hard work.

We really did have an amazing weekend! Everyone is still talking about how fantastic the wedding was and we wish we could do it all again. Everything was done perfectly down to the very last detail. We were so glad that we chose to have our special day at Chewton Glen. You were fantastic Georgia, we really appreciated your help and we enjoyed working with you in planning the wedding.
