An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish with very professional management of our wedding & friendly helpful staff. The behind the scene staff worked unobtrusively and feverishly to allow our wedding to run as smooth as silk. The venue was kept meticulously clean and beautiful. A special mention for Jennifer Lavender who was very helpful and professional throughout catering for our every needs. The food was beautiful and very tasty as all the guests commented how wonderful it was. We found the enclosed venue made people socialise more allowing for a more pleasurable experience all around. 5 out of 5 from us...well done Bassmead Manor Barns.

We got married here on Sunday 14th October and it was truly the best day of our lives. Everything ran like clockwork and the venue was decorated to perfection. The team were amazing making sure the whole day ran smoothly. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how beautiful the barns were. We had Rob from strobe disco do our music and announcements for the whole day and he was fab! Bassmead is a stunning venue and despite the rain we managed to get some beautiful photos outside and inside the rickety barn. We cannot recommend this wedding venue enough and would like to thank all the staff that helped make our day perfect x

We had the most amazing wedding day at Bassmead Manor Barns. The venue is stunning and we loved everything about it. Amanda was fantastic in the lead up to our wedding, helping us to get our heads around everything that needed doing and she made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and particularly enjoyed the delicious food. We had the best day and couldn't have wished for a better venue. We just wish we could do it all over again!

Address: Staploe, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CambridgePE19 5JB, United Kingdom

From A1 Take the A428 slip road to Cambridge and Eaton Socon. At roundabout go to Eaton Socon then at the third MINI roundabout go left up Nelson Road. Follow this road to the T-junction and then go left on to the Bushmead Road. There should be a water tower on your right as you cross over the A1 bridge. After about a mile and a half take the right turn to Staploe. Along narrow windy lane for half a mile, then the road goes down hill and there is a sharp right hand bend. Just after the bend on the left is the farm entrance, brick walls a lodge house and a long straight drive after a cattle grid. Bassmead Manor Barns is at the top of this drive. From the East (Either on the A14 or the A428) Travel along A14 and pick up A1 southbound and follow directions above or if on the A428, bypass St Neots and turn into Eaton Socon (just before the A1) and follow the directions above. From the West Travel along A14 and pick up A1 southbound and follow directions above or come in on the B645 to St Neots. Just after you cross the A1 turn right (beside the Eaton Oak Pub) follow road through hideous traffic calming bumps. After three quarters of a mile and several mini roundabouts you will come to an adolescent roundabout (not quite a mini not quite a full size roundabout either) there should be a sign pointing right to Duloe and Staploe. Take this right turn (if you spot a Rainbow Superstore on your right you have gone past the roundabout by 150 yards!) Follow the road under the A1 through Duloe then through Staploe. After the last house in Staploe continue westward for quarter of a mile and on your right is a picket fence, brick wall, lodge house, cattlegrid and straight drive. Bassmead Manor Barns is at the top of the drive. From Bedford Take the B660 north. In Bolnhurst turn right. Follow this road to a crossroads. (The Bushmead Crossroads) where you will go straight on. Follow this road for about 2 ½ miles and take the first left signposted Staploe. Follow this narrow road for a mile and you will go down a narrower sloping road which bends hard right and instantly on your left is Bassmead Manor Barns. You will see a picket fence, brick walled entrance, a lodge house and a cattle grid, Bassmead Manor Barns is at the top of the long straight drive.
