Overview

Located below five thoughtfully decorated rooms, the beautiful Cotswold Restaurant is housed in an old coach house in the centre of England. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a business trip or a trip to the Cotswold area. The Wychwood Inn is a pub, a restaurant and a hotel with a large pub garden nestled in the middle of a village in Oxfordshire. They offer B&B and dinner, bed and breakfast. You can have lunch here, too. The menus are always full of delicate and different choices, which can be enjoyed in the ambient, dog-friendly pub, peaceful Cotswold restaurant, private dining room or in the large pub garden.

Where is The Wychwood Inn located?

The Wychwood Inn is an award winning, family run Cotswold restaurant, hotel and pub located in the picturesque village of Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire. Shortened to 'Shipton' by locals, this small village sits on the edge of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The pub is fortunate to be surrounded by historical sites and beautiful countryside; through which guests can walk, bike or even boat.

What cuisine is on offer at The Wychwood Inn?

The head chef Joe McCarthy prides himself on buying local produce with which he creates wonderful dishes to entice your taste buds. Joe works in tandem with the seasons to offer an ever-changing menu that uses produce in its prime. You will always find some classic favourites on the menu (this is a must for the locals).

What makes a meal at The Wychwood Inn unique?

The Wychwood Inn chose to join the AA three years ago and has been presented with the AA Dinner Award every year.
All of their ingredients (where possible) come from first rate UK suppliers and local suppliers as far as possible. Their meat comes from Aubrey Allen, a family business established in 1993, the fish is supplied by Rogers of Chipping Norton and their vegetables are delivered by Wellocks. Joe, the Head Chef chooses and evaluates new dishes every season, and they are scrupulously tested by the staff and owners (it's a tough job!).
