Overview
East Bergholt Place, set in 20 acres, is a wonderful garden and arboretum. Originally laid out at the beginning of the 20th century by the present owners Great Grandfather and described as a `Cornish Garden in Suffolk´. With a marvellous collection of unusual plants, rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias, shrubs and fine trees, many originating from the renowned plant collector George Forrest and particularly beautiful in spring. An excellent specialist plant centre can be found in the Victorian walled garden.
Reviews
"“WELL WORTH A VISIT” Rang them on Sunday to ask if they had a Wisteria. They did and put it aside for us. Drove up from Leigh on sea today to collect it. Staff were superb and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. My wife and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and the Wisteria was a small present for our garden. We had a pot of tea on the lawn and took a walk around the gardens @ £6 each and we enjoyed it every bit as much as walking around Hyde Hall. Well worth a visit and well stocked plants and shrubs , pots and all sorts. Great staff plus there are nice places for lunch nearby. Give them a shout!!! Thanks to the guy who helped with tips for the Wisteria. Lovely people. "

"“The most excellent plant centre” We drove 70 miles to visit this excellent centre. Prior to leaving, we phoned with a query and they emailed a photo of the Jasmin plans we needed. Fantastic service. The selection is good and this family run business is well worth a visit. And great espresso! "

"Just wanted to thank you for the speedy delivery of 5 plants /shrubs to our address in Scotland. I didn't expect it to be so easy. Thanks so much "

The plants are well priced and of good quality. There is a shop with nice gardening “things” and a tea shop selling fantastic cakes.
