Overview

Tucked away in Lincolnshire's rolling countryside, where historical landmarks dot the landscape and spectacular sights and leisure activities are sure to lure you outdoors, is a lovely retreat to rest and recharge. The owners of Manor House Stables have worked hard to renovate this 18th-century stable block into two self-catering abodes – and the results are impressive. Think exposed beams, lime-washed walls and glowing wood-burning stove. After a day walking, cycling, fishing or visiting the nearby Edwardian town of Woodhall Spa, these luxury homely confines will feel like a huge welcoming hug. Everything's been thought of, especially the carbon footprint – eco fans will love the natural materials used from the walls and floor insulation to the mattresses and rugs.

What is the capacity for The Manor House Stables?

The Bothy is spacious and cosy, with an attractive kitchen and a beamed living area. The accommodation boasts a deep wooden bath, a box bed in the living room which provides a sleeping space or daytime snug area and a lovely garden to relax and unwind. The Hayloft is a charming retreat with a beautiful bedroom and a cosy box bed. The beamed living/kitchen area is spacious and welcoming, the elegant bathroom has twinkly lights and a beautiful copper bateau bath and a little garden beckons at the bottom of the outside staircase.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Lincoln area?

The Manor House Stables is ideally situated in Lincolnshire rural district. Just a 25-minute drive from the old town of Lincoln and 4 miles from the charming Edwardian town of Woodhall Spa. Lincolnshire is the 2nd largest county in England and stretches from the Humber to the Wash. Lincolnshire's geographical hub is Woodhall Spa, just 4 miles from the stables. There is a vast amount to see and do in this county and the stables are well placed to visit it all.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Arrive and tuck straight into your welcome hamper, filled with freshly baked bread, nibbles, local eggs, Lincolnshire sausages and veggies from their organic garden or local farm shop.

Reviews

A wonderful cosy pair of cottages with every convenience and welcoming hamper and trug of organic vegetables, plus bread, eggs, butter etc. Not far from Lincoln and Wolds coast. Very quiet location.
