What cuisine is on offer at The Folly?

All food is cooked to order from fresh ingredients in their own kitchens. You can expect dishes like devilled whitebait on Caesar salad with crispy bacon, or black and white pudding hash with a crispy poached egg served with HP just to start. Main courses might include braised rabbit, smoked bacon and mulled red wine pie served with hand-cut chips or gratinated field mushroom, blue cheese and spinach crepes. If you have any room then there are a choice of classic desserts to round off what has to be a gastronomic delight.

What makes a meal at The Folly unique?

A superb meal last night......again! It was great to see scallops on the starter menu and both my husband and I opted for them and thoroughly enjoyed the dish. The guinea fowl was succulent with the duxelles stuffing ensuring that it was both flavoursome and moist. The white/dark chocolate dessert was rich but not at all heavy. A real treat! Thank you Robert, David and all the staff.....a deliciously enjoyable evening.

First-time visitors to celebrate my wife Junes birthday, we had a great night. The venue is comfortable and welcoming, the staff were first class, friendly with an attention to detail. However, we both felt that the food was of an extremely high standard, as good as we have eaten anywhere... Thanks for a great night we will definitely be back..

Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch yesterday. It was a birthday treat for my father and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Folly is one of our favourite dining spots and yesterday did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A lovely afternoon, thank you all and Merry Christmas!

The Folly has become our first choice for lunch when we are visiting family in Towcester. Great food accompanied by friendly and professional service. We'll definitely be back for more.

Ate here for the first time for my partners birthday and we all loved the food and the service is brilliant. Reasonably priced considering the standard. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch again last weekend. The slow cooked lamb was amazing! As always, the service was friendly and very professional. Perfect!
