Dear Henry, Rebecca and all the staff, Ginny and I want to thank you all very much for everything you did to make our group's stay at the Castle last weekend so memorable. These get-togethers have now been going for 40 years, so there's a fair bit of history and potential for comparisons between hotels. There has never, though, been such unanimity about the venue - we've had letters of thanks and praise for your hotel from absolutely everyone who was there. Your rooms are lovely, and there wasn't a single dud among them - and we've had a few examples in the past where 90% of the rooms are fine, but someone has had to fold themselves into a boxroom or cupboard! The service, from everyone, was great - quick, friendly and efficient (especially at breakfast, which was extraordinarily slick). Food was excellent, and we were very grateful to be able to select from the full menu, whereas so often groups are asked to pre-select from a reduced choice. The residents' terrace is a masterstroke, especially when you also arrange such lovely weather! And you were very kind to tolerate us that bit late in the bar. Again, many thanks, Yours, Tony & Ginny Ayers

It was our first ever visit to Bishops Castle. Your location was really good and was an ideal base for our walks in Shropshire. As for your hotel our room was very spacious and clean. We both slept well too. We really enjoyed our meals at the hotel. The chef(s) were excellent with all the different meals that we ordered. The rest of your staff were really nice too and made us feel very welcome. We still have several Shropshire walks to conquer from our '1001 AA walks' book so we will certainly look forward to another visit in the future. Thank you very much for making it a wonderful three night stay.

We really enjoyed our stay with you, the room was lovely and the little extras really do make a difference. We found all of the staff to be very helpful and efficient right from the start when we were shown to our room rather than being handed a key as we are used to. The food was piping hot and very tasty although we did find the portion sizes a little large for us I suppose that this is not the same for everyone. We certainly intend to visit again in warmer weather when we can hopefully explore the local countryside.

I had a very excellent stay at your hotel it could not have been better . You have very good staff , a beautiful building , great rooms and food. These things do not happen by chance , you have obviously worked very hard to get them right. I look forward to coming back next year and staying for longer and exploring the local area.

This is an old hotel, full of character. The rooms are clean and most have lovely views over the quaint town. The service is friendly and helpful, the food and wine are very good and quite reasonably priced. We have been here twice and loved it each time.
