Nestled in the beautiful Pendle countryside, the Alma Inn is bursting with character and charm. It feels like you're stepping back in time with stone floors, original beams and open fires, this historic venue has spectacular moorland views and is minutes from Wycoller Country Park, made famous for its references in the Bronte sisters' novels.
What cuisine is on offer at The Alma Inn?
The Alma Inn is especially passionate about seafood; it's what Joycelyn, their founder, was brought up surrounded by; her father being a renowned fish-merchant and a family history in the fishing industry dating back to the 18th century. Naturally, this sees our food style lean towards light and fresh seafood dishes. That said, they all love the friendly informality of pubs, so British classics and hearty dishes have their place firmly on the menu. Just as important as the seafood specials, these comforting dishes are a must after a good walk with the dog or with friends, enjoyed sitting by one of our many open fires.
What makes a meal at The Alma Inn unique?
They mix the best ingredients with great personalities and atmospheric settings to create memorable experiences. Our seafaring heritage fuses with a timeless, pub charm to bring light and fresh seafood dishes and hearty, classic meat dishes to your table. And all enjoyed within a traditional pub setting, finished with a modern twist.
