Overview

Jordans, built by Quakers in 1919, is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Spindrift was built in 1933. Its beautiful garden is very private and has air like wine. It is a series of linked secret gardens on different levels. The kitchen garden provides abundant produce for Norma´s Cordon Bleu cooking. The Five Star accommodation is welcoming and spacious. Nearby are Windsor, Cliveden, Hughenden, Waddesdon, Ascot and Henley. Heathrow 16 miles, London is 30 minutes by train from Jordans station, and you are collected. Heated swimming pool. Norma and John will make you very welcome, and if you are dining, there are four courses with wine, and your hosts will always dine with you.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Spindrift?

For more than half a century, Norma and her family have lovingly nurtured and built the house in its two acres of gardens. There is a large garden room where meals can be served in good weather; a guest sitting room opens onto the garden through French windows; a family living room is home to a grand piano once owned by Queen Alexandra.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Beaconsfield area?

Spindrift is situated near a variety of fantastic tourist attractions, in the historical village of Jordans. Windsor Castle is only 12 miles away, and Oxford is also an short drive away; there are a lot more exciting things nearby; Beaconsfield, home of Bekonscot Model Village and the Beaconsfield Open Air Theatre; Milton's Cottage in Chalfont St. Giles; and historic mansions such as Cliveden Manor, Hughendon Manor, and Chenies House. There are four great golf courses nearby, for example-Dobos Cross, Beaconsfield, Harewood Hills, and Oakland Park.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Upon arrival, tea and homemade cakes will be offered; dinner with the family will be served-Norma is Cordon Bleu trained and the food is superb-and a la carte breakfast will leave you spoiled for choice. Tea and coffee making facilities and homemade shortbread are available in your en-suite room.
