The first three nights of a 10 day golf trip of a lifetime could not have started any better than our stay at Sandown House. While very highly rated,Trip Advisor reviews were the basis of our selection, we all agreed our expectations were significantly exceeded. The quiet rural location (yet close to Nairn, Castle Stuart) was just what we were looking for. Rooms/baths were spacious and beautifully appointed. Breakfast were one of the highlights of our day. The variety, quality of the locally sourced ingredients, preparation and presentation were second to none. We all agreed the porridge (oatmeal) was world class! But what made our stay really memorable was the warm, caring hospitality of Liz and her staff. From the initial booking Liz could not have been more helpful and gracious. From taking care of dinner recommendations?reservations, to storing a set of golf clubs which arrived a few days early from Ship Sticks, to an array of other assistance she provided, it just couldn't have been any better. All four of us agreed Sandown House was the accommodation highlight of our trip thanks to Liz and contributed greatly to a nearly perfect trip. Would offer "Six Stars" if we could.

We stayed at Liz's B&B for 3 nights during our 15 day tour of Scotland. Liz@s B&B is simply PERFECT. Rooms are bright, spacious perfectly clean and cozy. The place is quiet and withing walking distance from Nairn beach, the golf courses and Nairn downtown. Breakfast is simply awesome (freshly cooked each morning with a vast selection between continental and Scottish traditionals!) and worth the trip alone. Last but not least, Liz is a fabulous guest, very courteous and full of suggestions for things to see and do in the surrounding area. We definitely recommend a stay!
