Fantastic! My boyfriend and I went for dinner here to celebrate his 21st birthday. It was fantastic, from the location, to the service, and the food! The location is amazing, it is in a lovely building surrounded by the gardens where all the food is grown and collected. The waitresses were great - they were very knowledgeable about the food they were serving us and would also do a wine pairing for each course. They definitely had an impact on our experience there. The food was out of this world, with fantastic presentation and excellent pairings of tastes. We had the Garden Tasting menu which was 15 courses, we were very very full by the end of it but we are also still talking about this meal. We went on a Saturday night and it was just us and one other couple, so there wasn't much atmosphere but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing as it meant there was more of a “romantic” vibe to the night. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion or to just go for a nice evening!

Stunning Evening! My first time to Interlude and it exceeded all expectations! On arrival we had a Leonardslee G&T on the beautiful terrace, I have tried plenty of gins in my time but this was gorgeous - light and fresh served with rose petals. A must try. Anya, the Restaurant Manager, looked after us perfectly from start to finish. Her knowledge of the menu and ingredients was very impressive. The service all evening was flawless. Now for the food... It was STUNNING! The effort and expertise involved in everything from sourcing the ingredients to cooking them to perfection and then presenting each course so beautifully is just extraordinary. The dishes were so imaginative and different to anything I had ever eaten but perfectly executed, all delicious! Overall a wonderful evening, in a beautiful setting and highly recommended to all who appreciate exceptional food, wine and service.

Another incredible fine dining experience! This was my second visit to Interlude and I was excited to experience Chef Jean Delport's Magnificent creations again! We had our first course on the terrace, vines have been planted since our last visit and the feel was stunning, we felt like we were abroad. The service as before was impeccable, the staff have great knowledge of the dishes and the areas of the estate that each dish is foraged from. The different combinations of textures and tastes were an assault on the senses. We washed the courses down with some Leonardslee Gin and a couple of different reds from the Benguela Cove selections. Another great meal and a great dining experience! You might even see a wallaby if you're lucky! We would highly recommend Restaurant Interlude.

I see Leonardslee in a new light after having the Garden Experience menu at Interlude. The rhododendrons and azaleas are the stars in spring, but the restaurant succeeds in bringing much more of the garden to prominence through the seasons, as many of the many courses feature things growing in the garden - sometimes obvious like nuts, but often unexpected such as the tightly curled tips of bracken fronds. For the connection with the gardens alone this was a wonderful experience, but it is also great food presented imaginatively by lovely staff in a very relaxed and attractive setting, without being in the least pretentious.

Amazing wonderful food We are real foodies and we took my sister to the restaurant as a thank you. She is good cook but not a foodie. We all loved it. We had the 19 course tasting menu which consisted of a wonderful array of small dishes using locally (in the gardens!) sourced and often foraged food stuffs. The flavours and presentation were exemplary. It reminded me of l'enclume. There was background music which I didn't like but the staff were lovely and it was such a treat.

This really was exceptional. Felt slightly intimated with the two options of either 14 or 19 courses (14 is plenty by the way) and we were very full by the end but spread over 3 hours it's manageable. Each course was beautifully presented and, for me, perfectly trod the line between inventiveness and ‘fancy for its own sake'. Lots of local sourced and foraged ingredients and all very well explained by the staff without ever being annoying. Reviewed by jeddie44

The menu and food were first class. The best dinner I and our friends have had for a very long time.
