Overview

Explore the beautiful grounds of Penrhyn Castle Penrhyn Castle is a stunning 19th century neo-Norman castle, built for the wealthy Pennant family. Simple parkland surrounds this monumental Penrhyn Castle and garden. Behind it is a fascinating walled garden with formal terrace, parterres, pools and gazebo. Below is a sloping lawn planted with old flowering trees, rhododendrons, camellias, shrubs and a long, hardy fuchsia pergola. There is a bog garden with giant maples, tree ferns and gunnera. The woodland garden is spectacular in February with a carpet of snowdrops.
