Old Pear Tree Barn is a unique detached 400 year old Cornish stone barn which has been stylishly and lovingly restored. With the benefit of underfloor heating throughout, it is cosy and comfortable on stormy Winter nights. When Summer arrives, enjoy the views from the balcony across the large enclosed gardens to the fields and the dunes beyond.

The barn retains much character with beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and oak and slate flooring. Holywell Bay, famous for its surf and dunes, is a comfortable walk away and just a few minutes walk in the other direction is the 400 year old thatched Smugglers Den Inn, which serves delicious food and great real ales. There are an abundance of walks from your door, ideal for those who love rambling and beautiful scenery and especially for those with dogs, for whom the area has so much to offer.

What is the capacity for Old Pear Tree Barn?

Old Pear Tree Barn has two bedrooms situated on the ground floor, one with king size bed, en-suite with wc, bath and shower over. The second bedroom contains two twin beds and benefits from an adjacent shower-room with Wc and basin and shower. Also downstairs is very well equipped kitchen diner, Upstairs is large open plan living room.

Walking the South West Coast path, learning to surf or exploring the numerous beaches and coves that abound throughout Cornwall, Old Pear Tree Barn is ideally located whatever your choice. Many guests just like to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the garden and the scenic surroundings, while others venture to the internationally renowned Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. The iconic castles of Pendennis and St Mawes, or the National Trust's wonderful Lanhydrock House or Trerice Manorare wonderful days out. There is so much to explore and around every corner is another breathtaking view.

From the A3075 tirn off at Cubert Crossroads on to High Lanes. Follow the signs for Cubert. Before the village of Cubert, turn left at the brown tourist sign indicating 'The Smugglers Den' also signs for Trebellan and Mount. Follow the lane down the hill for approximately half a mile until the Smugglers, ( a thatched pub) comes into view. Immediately slow down and stop and then take the lane to the right which leads to the rear of the pub. Follow the lane for approximately half a mile. Old Pear Tree Barn is the second property on the left hand side and is clearly signed. Drive through the gateway where there is plenty of room to park.
