National Maritime Museum Cornwall is located on Discovery Quay in Falmouth. Nestled on the harbour side, the museum has panoramic views over the estuary and the town. It is easily found by following the brown signs when you arrive into Falmouth. There is parking near by at Maritime car park.

What is the history of National Maritime Museum Cornwall to the present day?

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is a fully independent museum, a development of the original FIMI (Falmouth International Maritime Initiative) partnership created in 1992 and the result of collaboration between the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich and the former Cornwall Maritime Museum in Falmouth. The museum was officially opened in 2003 and continues to attract thousands of visitors each year.

National Maritime Museum Cornwall is an independent museum with over 15 galleries. With a collection that spans the National Small Boat collection, exciting temporary exhibitions, artworks, maps, charts, memorabilia and other objects, as well as a boatbuilding workshop, there is plenty to explore. Go undersea in the Tidal Zone, climb the 100ft tower and enjoy panoramic views of Falmouth and explore the current major exhibition.

Price Details: Museum: Adults - £16.90 - Children (under 18s) - £8.50 - Children (under 5s) Free. Groups 10+ receive 10% discount. Pay once and get in free for a full 12 months.
