Overview

This half-timbered country house hotel in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Dedham has been run by the Milsom family for well over 50 years. The beamed riverside restaurant is an elegant affair with high backed leather chairs and linen-clad tables. The riverside terrace with its beautiful floral displays is the perfect spot for a summer's lunch.

Where is Le Talbooth located?

Le Talbooth was established in 1952 and its quaint location alongside the River Stour is an impressive affair. In the heart of Constable Country, the riverfront terrace and lawn enjoy a natural environment which could inspire any artist.

What cuisine is on offer at Le Talbooth?

The menu is a mix of solid classics such as a smoked salmon starter of main of Dover sole to more adventurous dishes including salad of shrimp and sticky pork belly with boudin noir, and a Dijon mustard and apple dressing. A separate cheese menu highlights the best artisan produce from Britain and Ireland including the Swiss-style St.Gall made with unpasteurized cows milk in County Cork.

What makes a meal at Le Talbooth unique?

Enjoy a special gastronomic experience featuring great food and excellent service, all set alongside the beauty of the Stour River. In September 2019, the restaurant got 3 AA Rosettes, a great accomplishment for the team.
