Overview

A very warm welcome - one that has been 250 years in the making. A place of refuge since the 1750's, the Kingshouse Hotel has been a stop off for travellers, walkers and those enjoying the great outdoors for centuries.

What makes a stay at Kingshouse Hotel unique?

The legendary Kingshouse hospitality is your first clue that it might - just might - be possible. Their crackling fires thaw the coldest of bones - with a little help from locally sourced food, beers and single malts. All served with views to tempt even the weariest to proclaim themselves ready to do it all again the next day.

What are the rooms and facilities on offer at Kingshouse Hotel?

The Kingshouse Hotel has been sensitively expanded to offer 57 bedrooms, plus a 32 bed bunkhouse, a new restaurant, bar and pub, each serving great food. Hotel rooms are stylish and cosy, ranging from standard, twin and signature rooms. Every room has a view that is far from standard, while the signature rooms have a private terrace with their own uninterrupted view of the Glen. The bunkhouse has all of the comforts you need, with none of the extras you don't. You will find showers, laundry facilities, a drying room and let's not forget...a pub on your doorstep in the middle of nowhere.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Glencoe area?

You will find the Kingshouse Hotel in the heart of Glencoe, in the centre of the slopes with uninterrupted views of the Glen. You will be right next to one of Scotland's most popular walking routes, the West Highland Way and the Glencoe Mountain Resort where you can take a chairlift to 2,200 feet. Take a drive down Glen Etive to find the iconic filming spot from Skyfall. If you want to explore the area further afield, Glencoe and Ballachulish are a short drive away where you can find glorious walks with views you can find nowhere else.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Kingshouse Hotel has plenty of choice to suit every palate: Kingshouse Bar - here you will find big plates, wee plates, but all of them are hearty plates with a well stocked bar. Kingshouse Restaurant - on the menu: the best ingredients from the local area - some from the estate others from local producers. With 270 views over the epic Glencoe Valley, dinner at the Kingshouse restaurant is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds. The exciting new fine eating restaurant, TRYST offers a six-course tasting menu inspited by the great Sottish Larder.  Way Inn - a relaxed take on all things heart warming. From a selection of the best beers to flaky pastry lids on steaming hot pies.
