Set in the picturesque hamlet of Huxham, with it's attractive green and surrounded by fields where sheep and cattle graze, Huxham Farmhouse is an elegant Grade II listed Georgian Farmhouse.
Situated just behind the main house, the Croft is our 2 bedroom self-contained annexe with it’s own front door which is available for self-catered stays.
As the name implies the building was formerly a working farm house, most recently dairy, although earlier records show the surrounding land being popular for apple growing and the making of cider. In the early 1980's the dairy ceased, the outbuildings were converted to dwellings and the main farm house was sold as a private residence.
Today Huxham Farmhouse is a comfortable family home which retains many original features and is furnished in a traditional manner with antique furnishings and open wood fires.
The main house sits in grounds of about 7 acres, most of which are paddocks with about 1 acre of gardens, over which we enjoy glorious uninterrupted countryside views. So there’s plenty of outdoor space to relax in without us tripping over each other and guests are welcome to enjoy the garden, tennis court and hot tub, as well as the covered heated outdoor seating area.
So whether you are here in Somerset for country pursuits, a wedding, a family gathering, sight-seeing, or a local event we very much look forward to welcoming you. You won’t want to leave.
