There are two restaurants at Gilpin Hotel - the acclaimed, 1 Michelin-starred SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel, and a more casual dining restaurant called Gilpin Spice.
At SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel - Executive Chef Ollie Bridgwater has created his own unique Lake District restaurant with sourcing, local produce and sustainability at the top of his agenda.
The laid-back Gilpin Spice has an open kitchen serving pan-Asian dishes inspired by countries along the spice trail – spanning the Philippines, the Indian sub-continent, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and China. Head Chef Tom 'Westy' Westerland is adding his own style to Gilpin Spice.

From the M6 Motorway
Leave the M6 at junction 36. Turn left onto the dual carriageway (A590/A591) and follow the signs to South Lakes for 8.4 miles
At the large roundabout just north of Kendal, take the first exit on to the B5284 (signposted Hawkshead via Ferry and Crook, with the Gateway Inn on your right). Follow the B5284 for 5 miles.
Gilpin is 5 miles along this road on the right hand side half a mile after the Wild Boar Hotel.
