Hotel du Vin Henley

Just an oar's throw from the banks of the river, the Hotel du Vin Henley On Thames is housed inside a classic Georgian façade which once belonged to the Brakspears Brewery. In typical du Vin fashion, the building has been super sensitively converted, retaining all the classic architecture, from the soaring beamed ceilings in the public areas to the smart exposed red brick walls of the restaurant. Rooms are to be found in the set of buildings that encircle the old brewery yard (there are 43 of them) and are characterised by leather Chesterfields, wood floors, luxurious throws and upholstery fabrics and spacious desks. In the Bistro, as you would expect from a HdV, the wine list is as long as your arm and expertly overseen by helpful sommeliers who'll guide you on what to try with the menu's European classic dishes. Highly desirable Henley, with its boutiques, art galleries and antique emporiums, is just a stroll from the riverbank.
