Hidden River Cabins is a unique holiday destination set in the rolling hills of the Cumbrian countryside. The log cabins with hot tubs are set in complete seclusion along the River Lyne. The luxury log cabins are made of real locally sourced timber, constructed to a bespoke design with luxurious interiors including a real wood burner, hot tub, modern kitchen and luxury beds. All white bed linen, bathrobes and wood for the fire is included in the price. The cabins are dog-friendly and there are miles of walks along the river for dogs to explore. The onsite restaurant sources produce from local Cumbrian providers and the menus change with the seasons.

What is the capacity for Hidden River Cabins?

Hidden River Cabins has 5 luxury log cabins and the Hidden River House. Foxglove and Bluebell Cabin sleep up to 10 people with private hot tubs. Roe Deer, Otterstone and Kingfisher cabin can sleep up to 6 people. All cabins are dog- friendly. The Hidden River House can sleep up to 20 people and has 2 private hot tubs.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Carlisle area?

There is plenty to do on the doorstep of one's cabin including river walks and fishing. The local area is situated close to Gretna Green which is only a 15-minute drive away which has a large shopping centre and the famous Old Blacksmith's shop. The cabins are situated close to Hadrians Wall and the Lake District National Park where there are water sports, climbing and many other things to do. If guests are traveling with a group they might want to visit Rookin House at Penrith who do horse-riding, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and many more activities.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

The cabins provide Nespresso coffee machines and a full array of different teas. There is also a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival. If guests are looking for a delicious meal only a short walk from their cabin the Hidden River Cafe is on the doorstep. The restaurant provides locally sourced Cumbrian produce combined with a modern twist. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Sunday and is a perfect addition to one's holiday.

Come off the M6 at Junction 44. Take the exit to Longtown on the A7. Stay on that road until you reach Longtown, in Longtown turn right at the “Grahams Arms” Pub. Stay on that road until you go past a national speed limit sign, turn right after the sign down a country road, signposted to Shankhill. Stay on that road for 5 miles, go through a crossroads and you will see a sign on your right for “Hidden River Cabins”. Turn right and follow the signs.
