Overview

The Victorian walled kitchen garden at Clovelly Court Gardens has been carefully restored, with its organically-grown produce offered for sale. The stunning Victorian glasshouses are home to many exotic and tender plants, and the herbaceous beds are superb.

Where is Clovelly Court Gardens located?

Clovelly Court Gardens are located just a short distance from the A39, on the way to Clovelly Visitor Centre.

What style of garden is Clovelly Court Gardens?

The large glasshouses grow lots of Mediterranean delights, including melons, apricots, vines, peppers, aubergines, chillies and peaches. Outside, there are lots of fruit trees, in fan, cordon and espalier forms, and the kitchen garden is hugely productive, supplying both vegetables and cut flowers.

What can guests enjoy at Clovelly Court Gardens?

Whilst touring the gardens, visitors may come across the charming summerhouse, which was designed in the 1930s by Rex Whistler.  At the end of the garden, the blue gate leads visitors to the Clovelly Court Great Terrace, where clear skies reward visitors with views to Lundy Island, and incredible panoramas of Bideford Bay.
