Capesthorne Hall and Gardens are open Sundays, Mondays and Bank Holidays to the public between April and October. The lawns and borders were laid out in the 1960’s to a plan by garden designer Vernon Russell-Smith, replacing an intensive kitchen garden. Beyond the formal gardens is a woodland walk with features such as an ice house, cascade and eel trap. The thee lakes run alongside the Hall and a include a swallow hole, taking the overflow from the middle lake to the lower pool.
