Overview
Nestled neatly on the border of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, Bronhaul Farm is an idyllic and peaceful place. It is perched on a hill, overlooking the green, rolling hills of the Welsh countryside. Cut off from the outside world, our cottages are the perfect place to escape the stresses of town and city life.
Immerse yourself in the life of a working farm, where cattle, sheep, goats and pigs roam the green pastures, chickens wander freely among the gardens, red kites soar in the sky above, and swallows and housemartins duck and dive between the farm buildings.
Disappear into the dark depths of the Bluebell Wood, and emerge into a magical world of wild flowers, ancient trees and abundant bird and animal life. In spring the bluebells that bejewel the forest floor are breathtaking.
Coed y Ddwr, on the other side of the driveway, is a lot more open, offering meandering walks along the waters edge and plenty of tranquil places to picnic. We are constantly working on new pathways and bridges in the woodlands, to open up more and more for your enjoyment.
We aim to promote environmental awareness and education, and follow sustainable practices to the best of our abilities. Our woodlands feed a super-efficient biomass boiler, which provides a reliable and sustainable source of heating and hot water to the farmhouse and all of the cottages.
We recently received grants to plant hundreds of native trees, expand our lake and wetland area, and to make improvements to our market garden. We will shortly be erecting a new polytunnel and putting in worm farms and new composting systems to ensure that we send minimal waste to landfill.
We want you to get the most from your experience, so we invite you to get involved in feeding the animals, collecting the eggs, and to wander in the woodlands. More importantly, we invite you to slow down to the Bronhaul pace of life and relax from the moment you arrive!
