Overview

It's no surprise Cornwall is such a crowd-pleaser when it boasts places like Benallack Barn. Nestled between the north and south coasts and tucked away down a long private lane, it offers all the right ingredients to fully immerse you into Cornish life. Dating back to 1600, Benallack Barn is formed of the owners' house plus two luxury self-catering apartments, the Bullpen and the Dairy, which each sleep two, and faces a pretty central courtyard. Take advantage of the quiet country setting. Budding pianists can play on the elegant Steinway in the house by the open garden doors, while animal lovers will adore the pet dogs, cats and chickens that wander freely around. What's more organic enthusiasts will enjoy the fresh eggs from Benallack's own flock and seasonal vegetables from the garden. Country living doesn't get better than this.

What is the capacity for Benallack Barn?

Two stunning self-catering cottages, sleeping two each. The Dairy is a spacious two-story cottage with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and its own enclosed garden. The Bullpen is a stunning single-story barn converted into a bedroom, a separate, luxurious wet room and a kitchen-diner, all on the ground floor.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Truro area?

Cornwall is a great place for a holiday or a short break, with so much to see and do. The perfect destination for food lovers, with an abundance of great restaurants, cafés and pubs. Thousands of wonderful coastal paths to walk, beaches to laze on, historical houses and gardens, fascinating mining heritage, museums and art galleries.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Cornwall is home to five Michelin stars! Chris Eden at Driftwood Hotel in Portscatho and Paul Ainsworth at No 6 in Padstow each have one and Nathan Outlaw at Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac has two and finally, you can find one more at Fish Kitchen in Outlaw. Ben Tunnicliffe has the Surf Beach Bar at Sennen or the Tolcarne Inn at Newlyn, which is some of the best pub food around.
