Places to visit in or near Warrington

The Cheshire town of Warrington stands on the banks of the River Mersey. The area has good rail and motorway links and the Manchester Ship Canal runs through the south of the town. A new shoppimng centre called the Golden Square has just been opened and there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
