Places to visit in or near East Linton

East Linton village lies to the west of the River Tyne and was originally a staging post on the Great North Road. A good selection of hotels and pubs can be found here. A rail link was first introduced back in 1846 and the village maintained a station until the 1960s. This busy place is centred around the village square with an attractive gilt fountain.
