Places to visit in or near Stevenage

The Hertfordshire town of Stevenage was created as a new town after the second world war and the population of the town is still growing. One of the largest employers in the area is Glaxo Smith Kline which has a large pharmaceutical research laboratory. Of interest nearby is the gothic stately home of Knebworth House, which is well known today for its rock concerts.
