Places to visit in or near Wooler

The small market town of Wooler is at the foot of the Cheviot hills and is a good place for walking and exploring the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland National Park.The quiet roads and bridleways in the area are ideal for cycling and horse riding. The town is not far from the Northumberland coast which has lovely scenery at Bambburgh Castle and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
