The village of Perranporth on the north Cornwall coast was part tin mining industry, but today is a popular holiday resort with safe sandy beaches and is well known for its large waves making it a good spot for surfing. There are lovely cliff walks and caves to explore. North east of the village is The Piran Round which is an iron age hill camp.
