Overview

The Dairy is a charming, newly renovated holiday house with three double bedrooms, plenty of living space, and its own private decked patio. This large property has been renovated to a very high standard, with distinctive fixtures that give it a lovely cosy feel. The open-plan ground floor, with its double-height contemporary sitting room and full-height windows, truly brings the 'outside in,' allowing you to take in the breathtaking views of Suffolk's rolling countryside.

What is the capacity for The Dairy?

The Dairy can sleep up to 6 guests over 3 bedrooms. In addition to this, the adjoining Buttery and Parlour can accommodate up to 12 guests if all booked together. The combination of all three properties is known as Lodge Farm. Guests also have access to the owner’s delightful Shepherd’s Hut situated by a picturesque pond – perfect for picnics, swimming for the brave or just unwinding.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Freston area?

Freston is a quaint village on the River Orwell on the Shotley Peninsular, just a few miles south of Ipswich. The Suffolk Food Hall (managed by the owners), a nationally recognised farm shop and restaurant selling the best of Suffolk, is located in the area. Jimmy's Farm, made famous by the BBC, is only a few miles away and is a terrific attraction for the whole family. Around the farm, there are various private roads to explore, as well as a network of guided walks and cycle routes. Enjoy the river by land or by boat, and then reward yourself with a well-deserved drink at Pin Mill's Butt and Oyster pub. The leisure facilities near Alton Water are also within cycling reach.
