On arrival in Pickering follow the A170 to the traffic lights signposted to the Steam Railway, Newton upon Rawcliffe and Stape. After passing the station and the level crossing at Newbridge follow the road up across gently rolling hills before arriving in Newton upon Rawcliffe. Follow the road through Newton, past the White Swan pub and after half a mile go past the turn off for Cropton following the sign to Stape. Turn left into Middle Head Road which is approximately 500 yards past the red telephone box. Flamborough Rigg Cottage is the last property on the left roughly ½ mile down the road and is clearly signed.
