What is the capacity for The Cottage?
The Cottage at Mackay's sleeps up to six people in three fantastic tailored bedrooms. The cottage has three well appointed bedrooms, each with an oversized feather topped bed with crisp linen, sumptuous fabrics throughout amazing detail. On the upper floor there is a large master bedroom, a smaller twin room and bathroom with an oversized bath. Downstairs there is another beautifully presented double bedroom. At the hub of the cottage, is a spacious lounge and adjoining kitchen. Large luxurious leather sofas in a living space that boasts high definition television, iPod station and modern wood burner. More strikingly, the north facing French doors frame a sea view that is nothing short of spectacular.
What can guests enjoy when staying in the Durness area?
There are few places to walk allowing you to take in the stunning scenery of the extreme northwest highlands. Including hidden sandy beaches or the highest cliffs in the mainland UK, the local coastline has everything. In the Sutherland area, you can find some of the best hills walks in the UK for the more adventurous. These are remote, quiet hills where it is unlikely that you will find another living soul in comparison to some of the popular hills. You will find some of the best beaches in the world, secluded, pristine golden sand, clear turquoise water and better still they are usually empty.

There is a range cooker, dishwasher and super-sized fridge freezer. The dining area has seating around an oak table, for entertaining or a romantic meal for two.
