Overview

The Telephone Exchange has recently had a complete transformation from its original purpose as a former telephone repeater station, as with all of thier properties, Peak Venues has worked tirelessly to achieve a truly individual country getaway for large groups. Built in the 1940's, the white exterior is a fascinating stark contrast from the stunning surrounding countryside of the Peak District. The interior offers a very stylish and contemporary design, chosen to reflect the fabric of the building. Set back from the road that leads between Buxton and Ashbourne the property stands alone with great views to the rear over the trail and fields beyond.

What is the capacity for The Telephone Exchange - Peak Venues?

There are enough beds to sleep up to 24 guests over nine modern stylish bedrooms and nine private bathrooms/en suites rooms. On the ground floor there is a huge open plan living space furnished with beautiful furnishings and fabrics centered around a wall-mounted log burner. The brand new modern kitchen gives guests the capability to enjoy the fabulous dining space with a large table.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Buxton area?

Slap bang in the middle of the Peak District the unrivaled location is unbeatable and sits within 200m of The High Peak and Tissington Trail. The converted traffic-free former railway line allows you to access popular destinations like Hartington, Tissington and Ashbourne on foot or by bike. The city of Derbyshire, Buxton and the market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell, are only a short drive away. A 25-minute drive from the Alton Towers Resort. Perhaps a visit to the Chatsworth Estate or Tissington Hall is preferred for a more fun afternoon.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

If you want to cook yourself, the kitchen is a wonderful place. The central island is fantastically situated, with a breakfast bar on one side and an electric hob to the other is fantastic for those wanting to be sociable whilst they cook. The open-plan kitchen has 3 long, modern tables and chairs that can fit up to 24 guests.

Reviews

The accommodation was great, we all commented on how spacious the communal space was. Something that the pictures don't do justice!
