The pretty village of Hartington is in the Derbyshire Peak District and is a popular tourist centre. It has a youth hostel at Hartington Hall and just down the road from the village are two national cycle trails: The Tissington Trail and the High Peak Trail, using old railway trackbeds through the Peak District National Park.
