Rose Briar is situated between Stroud and Cirencester, about half an hour drive to Cheltenham and Gloucester. Visit Gloucester Cathedral, Docks and Outlet Centre. Stratford Park has a Museum, leisure facilities and lido. You must visit the Fantastic Farmers Market on Saturdays. The Thames and Severn Canal is undergoing restoration, which can be accessed from several points. Woodchester Mansion is a firm favourite, Chavenage House nr Tetbury has received rave reviews and Painswick Rococo Gardens are a must. Beautiful Gardens and delicious home made cakes are commented on Miserden Gardens, Westonbirt Arboreturm, Bourton on the Water, Slimbridge Wild Life Trust, Prinknash Bird and Deer Park at Cranham and the remarkable Througham Gardens are all a must.
Where can guests enjoy food and drink?
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants for guests to dine. The Old Neighbourhood Inn is just 100 yards walk, The Ram at Bussage and The Lamb Inn, are a 15 minute walk, (5 minutes in the car). If you like a real treat, The Lavendar Bakehouse just 2 minutes in the car is just the ticket for a lovely experience of coffee and cakes. There is a great fish and chip shop, just a 2 minute walk in the village. Nearby there is a Tesco Express, Doctors, Chemist and Chinese Takeaway, approx 2 minutes by car. The Pavillions Indian Restaurant, just a couple of minutes in the car do takeaway or dine in.
