Overview

Cossington Park Estate is a luxurious holiday rental in a historic house that provides the perfect accommodation for small and large groups or families of all ages to come together for weekend breaks, holidays and special occasions. The cottage has a contemporary feel with large light open plan living space, its own private decking and garden, barbecue and outside dining furniture. It also has disabled facilities with a downstairs bedroom and wet room. Guests will find Park Cottage comfortable and well equipped with games including boules and jenga, al fresco dining area, barbecue and garden easily accessible for outdoor living. If Park Cottage is taken separately to Park House, guests have shared access to the children's playground and the walled Badminton Garden.

What makes a stay at Cossington Park Cottage unique?

Park Cottage is a sturdy stone Victorian house previously known as Ethel’s Cottage, in memory of the former housekeeper who lived here. When my grandmother went to France to nurse the sick during the First World War, and sensed that she would not return, she said: “look after the house, Ethel”. Ethel did so until her death four decades later. The large light kitchen/dining/sitting room provides relaxed and contemporary living space. Glass double doors blur the lines between inside and out and give easy access to the decking outside, al fresco dining, barbecue and garden. There is a ground floor bedroom and wheelchair-accessible wet room.

What is the capacity for Cossington Park Cottage?

Cossington Park Cottage can accommodate up to six people comfortably, making it perfect for a smaller party or as an annexe to the main house, allowing for different dynamics among a large party. If you rent the house as well, you will have exclusive use of the whole estate, that can accommodate up to 22 in total.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Bridgwater area?

There are tonnes of on-site and off-site activities to suit a vast range of ages and interests. Child friendly, pet friendly, friendly to those with special needs. Your hosts will be happy to arrange numerous off-site activities from Cossington Park, with hundreds of places to visit nearby. A host of all-weather local days out at the West Country’s most loved attractions might include; Kilve Court Gardens, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Glastonbury Tor, Milton Lodge Gardens, Wells Cathedral, or Wookey Hole. You will find more than 40 gardens and stately homes within a day’s excursion from Cossington.
