The East/West coast road through Sussex is the A27. The North/South London to Bognor Regis road crosses the A27 at Fontwell (home of Fontwell Racecourse), some 5 miles East of Chichester, and mid-way between Chichester and Arundel. Barnham lies just south of Fontwell. At Fontwell roundabout, take the A29 South, signposted Bognor Regis. After 1 mile you come to the small war-memorial roundabout at Eastergate. Take the 1st exit onto Barnham Road - B2233 signposted Barnham, Warning: Speed Cameras along the B2233. Go into the village of Barnham, past the station on your right, and follow the road under the railway bridge heading South towards Yapton. Immediately under the railway bridge, next to the Murrell Arms Pub, turn right onto Church Lane (signed). Half a mile down Church Lane turn right into Highground Lane. Follow over the stream and take the 3rd turning on the right, up a concrete drive signposted Orchard Cottages, then turn left on to concrete drive-way and you have arrived!
