Lower Grimpstonleigh's three luxury stone barns, set in 13 acres of charming cider orchards,gardens, woodlands and fields serve as the ultimate rural retreat, whether you're partial to a bit of cider or not. Stay at either Top Barn (with woodburner) Cider Barn or Apple Cottage(with woodburner) and sip away amongst the scenic views of South Devon. Nestled in a peaceful valley a few miles from Kingsbridge, the barns – which sleep four to five people - have been lovingly restored with exposed oak beams, Smart TVs, DVDs, Wii and free Wi-Fi to keep you entertained indoors. Each barn has its own patio area with Patio furniture - Top and Cider Barn have views over the valley and Apple Cottage has its own courtyard. Extra touches like luxury towels, robes, slippers and bed linen and a Riverford Welcome Hamper (including Lower Grimpstonleigh's very own vintage cider and apple juice) ensure your stay is a memorable one. The heated indoor swimming pool which is housed in an oak frame and has a decked balcony overlooking little orchard - simply stunning!

What is the capacity for Lower Grimpstonleigh?

Cider Barn has been converted from a medieval stone and thatched barn and can accommodate up to 5 people. Suitable for 4 individuals (by arrangement of additional guests). The top barn is located in an old cider garden and surrounded by some of South Devon's most beautiful natural scenery. The Apple Cottage is suitable for up to 4 people, in a Victorian stone barn.

What can guests enjoy when staying in the Totnes area?

Grimpstonleigh is an excellent place to explore both the Dartmoor National Park and the South Devon coast, with its stunning scenery and its unspoiled sandy beaches, a few miles north of Kingsbridge, between Salcombe and Dartmouth. Grimpstonleigh is a sanctuary for adults and children all year round, surrounded by wildernesses and woodlands.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Eating Alfresco with plump seating and cushions in the two Crown Pavillion Gazebo's that are made of cedarwood. Unzip  all or some of the Gazebo sides to enjoy fantastic views over the orchard and the valley, or you can keep it enclosed, position the heater and lights to create a warm and cosy setting, when the weather isn't so nice.

From the M5 at Exeter, take the A38 towards Plymouth. Turn off towards Totnes and Kingsbridge on the A381 passing though Harbertonford, Halwell and The Mounts. A quarter of a mile after leaving The Mounts, turn right (signposted Higher Torr and GrimpstonLeigh). Follow this lane to the end. Lower Grimpstonleigh will be found on the left hand side before the ford
