Opened in 2017, these new build, high spec holiday homes offer a perfect base for exploring the many activities in the Cairngorms National Park. Guests will love the scenery, wildlife and the many whisky distilleries.
What makes a stay at Linn of Avon Holiday Cottages unique?
The cottages were built during 2016 / 2017 on the site of an old store. The cottages were constructed to give an authentic feel externally using traditional materials, retaining a section of the store walls and the stone to incorporate them into the garden walls, thus maintaining a part of the past.
Tomintoul sits within the heart of the highlands and offers guests unparalleled access to some of the most striking scenery anywhere in the world. There are around 30 whisky distilleries within 40 miles, numerous golf courses, ski centres, and much, much more.
The houses are extremely energy efficient with an air source heat pump, underfloor heating, high grade windows, doors and insulation plus all appliances are A+ rated.
What is the capacity for Linn of Avon Holiday Cottages?
Both houses can host 5 people each. The bedrooms are laid out as a double, a twin and a single. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Tomintoul is the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland at 345m and is situated on the Glenlivet Estate. There is an abundance of whisky distilleries, walking routes, mountain biking trails, golf courses, ski centres, clay pigeon shooting and much, much more. If you are feeling like you want to stay in and chill out, both cottages have flat screen smart televisions with apps built in such as Netflix. There is also high speed fibre broadband for streaming films and music as well as general browsing.

The cottages come with full fridge freezers so that you can arrange delivery from Tesco in time for your check in day. If you need any essentials, there is a village shop 3 minutes round the corner.
There are a number of different hotels, restaurants and cafes in Tomintoul which offer everything from soups and sandwiches to full evening meals.
