Whilst the clever conversion offers one large dwelling creating a social hub with dining and communal space for up to 26 (plus 4) there is also a separate annex (within 10 metres or so from the main building). With a total of thirteen bedrooms and nine bathrooms/en suites - nine of the rooms will be under one roof with the additional four in the newly built annex.

On the South Western edge of the Peak District National Park, Lapwing Barns is an ideal base from which to explore the area. Nearby caves and caverns, The Roaches, with Hen Cloud and Ramshaw Rocks form a grit-stone escarpment providing an abundance of rock climbing, cycling and walking. The spa town of Buxton is close by with its Opera House and theatre, and the popular market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are both within 20 minutes drive away. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall and Alton Towers are all within a half hour drive.

Lapwing Barns has a large open plan modern dining kitchen - making cooking and dining for large groups a dream for aspiring chefs! The charming town of Longnor is two miles from Lapwing Barns. In the heart of the village is the historic paved market place which has a local store, post office, a restaurant and a tea room. A country pub, gastropub and inn and a famous fish and chip shop are also located.
