The Lodge is a beautifully furnished house that sleeps 6 people in three bedrooms, as well as a large country kitchen, separate dining room, library snug and large lounge with log burning stove. A very warm welcome awaits you at Kersmains. For larger parties, they can also accommodate two in the romantic boutique, The Bothy.

Ideally located just three miles along the River Teviot from the quaint cobbled market town of Kelso, and just a short drive to other popular Border towns of Melrose and Jedburgh where the ancient abbeys can be explored whilst enjoying the many boutique shops, bars and restaurants. The rolling landscape surrounding the cottage provides an ideal backdrop for miles of walking, cycling or simply sitting with a glass of wine in the garden and listening to the wildlife. With riverside walks on the doorstep and so many great local attractions such as Floors Castle and Kelso Races just minutes away, the whole family can be entertained.

Your stay at The Lodge should be as comfortable and as stress-free as possible, so they have worked together to give you some delicious, home-cooked dishes from an enjoyable local catering company (to which they have, of course, tasted!). As parents with a young family your hosts understand the need to plan ahead when holidaying so a pre-ordered shopping delivery is always helpful! Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda all deliver to Kersmains Farm. What can be better than to put into the oven after a nice day exploring the beautiful Scottish Borders than a delicious home-made shepherd pie, lasagne or chicken and broccolli bake. Your hosts can deliver a wide variety of delicious dishes, either fresh or frozen, ready for your stay in The Lodge.
What is the capacity for The Lodge?
The first floor consists of three spacious stylish rooms, a bathroom (with a view of the stars!). The lovely country kitchen is situated beneath, boot room/play area complete with appliances, dining room, bathroom with shower and two, yes 2 lounges! Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay at The Lodge.
