What makes a stay at Heritage Mews 5* Gold Award Cottage unique?

This beautifully-appointed cottage, personally managed by the owners, has a delightful, sunny, secluded small garden. Planted for colour and interest in all seasons, it is perfect for summer outdoor dining and relaxing, and a pleasure to look out onto throughout the year. Two private off-street car parking spaces are a real bonus in Stratford, where street parking is retricted and in high demand. Guests can enjoy walking to town and the theatres along the riverside footpath and, in the other direction, out into beautiful Warwickshire countryside. With free WiFi, a HD smart television, Roberts sound system with iPod dock, luxurious linens and controllable central heating, Heritage Mews is perfect for year-round holidays. An ideal base to enjoy town and countryside.

What is the capacity for Heritage Mews 5* Gold Award Cottage?

Heritage Mews is a two bedroom cottage comfortably accommodating three guests. Downstairs are a compact, fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable sitting-dining room opening onto the pretty garden. Upstairs are two charming bedrooms – queen-size double and single. A baby's cot can be added to the single bedroom on request. The well-appointed bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Explore Stratford-upon-Avon's medieval centre with picturesque streets lined with beautiful half-timbered buildings and take in the town's special atmosphere. Visit Shakespeare's Birthplace and family homes, Shakespeare's Schoolroom in the 15th century Guildhall and enjoy a Royal Shakespeare Company performance. Relax in riverside gardens and parkland and enjoy peaceful circular riverside walks. Visit Holy Trinity Church with Shakespeare's grave. Enjoy a river cruise in an original Edwardian pleasure launch or a City Sightseeing bus tour of the famous sites. Explore riverside trails through beautiful nearby Warwickshire countryside. Within a short drive through glorious countryside are the quintessential Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden and Broadway, Warwick Castle, numerous historic houses and gardens, including the National Trust's Hidcote, Charlecote Park, Packwood House and Coughton Court, and many excellent traditional country pubs.

Where can guests enjoy food and drink?

Stratford-upon-Avon has an amazing choice of places to eat including fine dining restaurants, pubs, bistros, coffee shops, cafes and tearooms. In Sheep Street, discover Lambs fine dining restaurant located in a beautiful beamed 16th century house, Vintner's wine bar and bistro, The Opposition and Fourteas 1940s themed tearoom. Discover the great atmosphere at the Dirty Duck pub by the river. Try Edward Moon's English Brasserie or The Garrick, Stratford's oldest pub. Enjoy fine dining at Number 9 Church Street or Salt, with its one Michelin star. Take afternoon tea at the Townhouse or on the Waterside Terrace. Dine at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre 's unique Rooftop Restaurant or relax at the Riverside Café. Just a few of the many choices!
